True Tech: The Reverse Condensing Fan Motor

True’s Reverse Condensing Fan Motor (RCU technology) is standard on all True hydrocarbon refrigerator models. But what is RCU and what does it do?

RCU reverses the direction of the condensing fan motor to remove excess debris from the interior and surface of the condensing coil. During normal operation, the fan operates conventionally, drawing outside air in over the condensing coil. In the first 20 seconds after startup, the fan runs in reverse to blow dust, dirt and debris off the condensing coil. This results in increased efficiency by using 20% less energy, increasing the life span of the refrigerator, and keeping temperature and product consistently cold!
